Whether you’re at school, college or university, technology plays a vital role in your education. As a blind or partially sighted student, the right tech can transform the way you access your learning and super-charge your ability to thrive, not just in your studies, but also in your future career.

Knowing what technology is out there, how it can help you and how to use it can be a game-changer; empowering you to learn in a way which is easier, more productive and works for you. This will help you to be more independent, able to overcome the challenges ahead and get to where you want to be in your life.

The good news is, there is a lot of great tech out there which can help. These products, tools and features are often known as accessible or assistive technology.

We understand it can be difficult to know where to start, what tech is right for you and how to get using it. But there’s no need to worry, we have put together a range of helpful guides and resources to help!

The important thing to remember is, exploring and trying out new technology can often take a little getting used to. Learning how the tech works and putting in some practice can make all the difference. So, have an open mind and give things a go!
