2024 will be a big year in British politics, with a General Election all but certain to take place. But will blind and partially sighted people be on your MPs agenda?
To make sure the voice of blind and partially sighted people is front and centre, we’re organising an event in Parliament on Wednesday 20th March 2024 – and we need your help to get your local MP there.
At the event, MPs will be able to take part in interactive sessions with blind and partially sighted people and our expert teams that highlight our key campaigns on:
We’ll also be asking MPs to make the Pocklington Pledge:
“I promise to fight for a more accessible society for blind and partially sighted people”
We need your help to ask as many Members of Parliament as possible to come and meet with us at the event.
With the much anticipated General Election expected during 2024, there has rarely been a more important time for us to speak to politicians about the priorities for blind and partially sighted people.
In March 2022, we held our first-ever Westminster event with our Sight Loss Councils.
