A series of videos demonstrating the accessible technology blind and partially sighted people use to perform tasks in the workplace as well as their fully sighted colleagues.
Our Student Support Service is here for blind and partially sighted students aged 11+, their families and the professionals that support them. We provide expert advice, information and guidance supporting students to navigate secondary school, college and university.
We are an England based service but can offer general advice and signposting to people from other parts of the United Kingdom.
We hope that you can find most of the information you are looking for on our dedicated secondary school, college and university pages, but if you can’t or need more bespoke information then we can provide one-to-one information and support via our support service.
“I was not getting the right support at university. Without TPT intervening I do not think it would have been resolved. Thank you!”, a student who contacted our service.
Or call our student support line on 0203 757 8040. Our Student Support Service is open Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with our phone line available Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am – 5pm. Outside of these phone line hours, you will be asked to leave your name, number and a short message and a member of our team will return your call.
Or use the enquiry form below and our team will reply to you.
You can also connect with other blind and partially sighted students and share information and tips via our Student Support Facebook group:
Thomas Pocklington Trust Student Support Community
This online community is for blind and partially sighted students, family and friends, education providers and other staff in the sector. It forms a supportive environment where relevant news, advice, questions and pieces of work can be shared to enable students with visual impairments to get the most out of their time at university.
